The Pastor's
Pooch!
PASTOR'S POOCH
Recently, I got to go over to the church with Mom as she made some copies she needed. I wanted to check out the building, so Mom let me run around for a little while. The sanctuary is really beautiful with the stained glass windows. While I was running around, I noticed that a lot of projects are going on. I saw a box of combs being collected to be a part of the Health Kits the youth attending the Conference Youth Rally will be assembling. I wonder if they could use my deshedding comb?
Then I saw a container that had quarters in it. When I got a closer look, I realized how important those quarters are. I discovered that they are for the Congo Partnership of our Conference and that one quarter can feed a child for a day. I can't even buy a doggie treat for quarter and in the Congo a child can get a whole meal for one. I'm going to search the parsonage for quarters so I can help feel these kids.
When I came back towards the altar area, I saw bags with school supplies. Then I remembered one morning Mom was making up little signs for the Church Breakfast about donating school supplies. The ones at the altar must be a part of the donation. That is so cool. I hope the student enjoy receiving them and use them to express their imaginations by drawing pictures and writing stories. I also hope the students enjoy school as much as I did. I'm really looking forward to going back.
I had a great time finding out about all the projects that the churches are participating in. In some ways it may seem like these are just little things, but I bet they are going to mean a lot to those who receive them. I just want to say that all of you are such wonderful, generous, giving people and I am glad to know you.
Woof! Woof!
